 The composition really works and the stripes themselves are fascinating  -- Have you noticed that sharks only attack when you're wet? (Comedian Sean Lock)  im getting hypnotized
 well done!-- I met in the street a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, his cloak was out at the elbows, the water passed through his shoes, - and the stars through his soul.   I've always considered Zebras to be white with black stripes.
But this photograph makes me think otherwise. Amazing shot. I love the black mane running down the spine and how it's barely noticeable against the background. Seeing it makes me feel accomplished, like I've found a hidden treasure or something. -- Just remember; we're coming back for your children.  I don't feel I am qualified to judge or critique, I can only say what I think and I think this is wonderful!! ...so sharp and clear; the whites are so white and the black so glossy... was great shot not trying to be the entire beast.... nice job! ~~s

Critiques
I recall the artists doing this same type of shot not so long ago but there was an issue with the focus, this time there is no issue.
This for me stands out as I love the shapes the lines draw, it had to be a black and white image.
The lighting is spot on, its cast over the back of the animal and helps to keep the contrast at the perfect level.
I know the artist is lucky in that she is able to get closer to these animals but kudos for using that ability to such a great advantage.
